Korean pop sensation Wonder Girls, who are currently on tour in North America, have taken a brief visit to Asia to promote a new advertisement and album, according to their agency JYP Entertainment on Friday.
"The girls are in Singapore at the moment to promote their new advertisement for Sony Ericsson and to perform at their music showcase today," a representative told Asia Economic Daily over the phone.
She added that they will be in the country until next Tuesday and then fly to Indonesia to promote their newest album “2 Different Tears.”
“They will be returning to North America after their visit to Indonesia to continue on with their first solo tour titled ‘Wonder World Tour’ until the end of July.”
Wonder Girls, one of the most successful Korean idol bands, recently made a successful comeback to the Korean music scene with their latest global album "2 Different Tears" which has topped numerous online and offline music charts since it release in May.
Before visiting Singapore, the girl group completed several shows on their 27-stop tour including Washington DC, New York and San Francisco.
